🔧 What is this part used for?
The oil filter is the central element of the engine lubrication circuit. It traps impurities, metal residues, combustion particles and deposits suspended in the oil before they reach the engine's internal components. On the Iveco Daily's 3.0L HPI engine, whose distribution is ensured by a hydraulic chain that is particularly sensitive to oil quality, the filter plays a critical role in maintaining oil pressure and circuit cleanliness. A clogged or out-of-capacity filter disrupts lubrication, leads to premature wear of bearings, piston rings and chain tensioner, and can cause irreversible engine damage.
This filter is offered in new, original Iveco condition. It identically replaces the previous reference 2995655 on Iveco Daily 35C and 35S equipped with the 3.0L HPI engine since 2000, without modification or adaptation. It must be replaced at every engine oil change.

The oil filter has no visible symptoms of failure on its own, but indirect signs alert to its saturation: oil pressure warning light on, low oil pressure measured on the pressure gauge, rattling or rattle noises when cold starting (often linked to chain tensioner lubrication failure), or abnormally black, charged oil tint when changing the oil. On the 3.0L HPI engine with chain drive, any oil pressure defect must be treated as a priority. The filter must be replaced systematically at each oil change, whatever its external appearance.
✅ Installation tips
The oil filter must be replaced at the same time as the engine oil change. Before fitting, lightly lubricate the O-ring of the new filter with clean oil to ensure a tight fit. Tighten the filter by hand until the gasket makes contact, then tighten a further three-quarters of a turn with a suitable filter wrench - do not overtighten. After starting the engine, check the filter for leaks and check the oil level. At the same time, replace the drain plug gasket. We recommend that the oil change be carried out by a qualified technician.
