5-speed gear lever for Iveco Daily 35C 35S
Iveco Daily gear lever installation tutorial
Allow 30-40 minutes of work. The operation is very easy to perform!
Tool kit: A multi-grip pliers, Torx screwdriver, a ratchet with 10 cm extension, a 12mm socket
Here are the important steps to replace your gear lever, also follow along in the photos
The photos are from replacing a lever on the Daily generation from 2006 to 2011, but the principle remains the same
1°) Start by carefully unclipping your lever gaiter.
2°) Remove the Torx screw that holds the plastic trim around the lever at the top. Then pull this plastic trim towards you to unclip it.
3°) With a small ratchet, an extension and a 12mm socket, remove the lever support. I recommend placing paper or cloth around the lever to avoid dropping the screws into the dashboard.
4°) To remove the two cables from the lever, simply press on the 2 tabs, one by pulling, the other by pushing.
5°) To unclip the cables from the lever, lock the axle with multi-grip pliers and pry with a large flat-head screwdriver.
And that's it! All you have to do now is reverse the operation for reassembly!
If after replacing your gear lever there is still play in the lever, you will need to replace the gear shift cables.
