⚙️ Iveco Daily 2.3 HPI oil filter – Reliable filtration for the F1A engine at every oil change
🔧 What is this part for?
The oil filter retains metallic particles, combustion residues and impurities that engine oil collects as it circulates. Mounted on the lubrication circuit, just after the oil pump, it ensures that only clean oil reaches the crankshaft bearings, camshaft and turbo. The 2.3 (F1A engine) equips a large part of Iveco Daily and Fiat Ducato vehicles, vehicles that chain short trips, cold starts and heavy loads. Under these conditions, oil becomes loaded with impurities quickly: a clogged filter allows abrasives to pass through or reduces oil flow, accelerating internal engine wear.
This filter mounts on all Iveco Daily vehicles equipped with the 2.3 engine and on Fiat Ducato 2.3 Multijet. It is a compact screw-on cartridge that directly replaces the original filter and is changed at each oil change, with a simple oil filter wrench.

✅ Why replace this part?
✅ A saturated filter no longer retains particles, which then circulate throughout the engine and wear bearings, pads and turbo.
✅ When the cartridge is clogged, oil bypasses filtration to maintain pressure, and the engine runs with unfiltered oil.
✅ Replacing the filter at each oil change keeps fresh oil clean and durably preserves the 2.3.
✅ Wear / failure / replacement symptoms
The oil filter should be systematically replaced at each oil change, even if it appears to be in good condition. Oil that blackens and thickens abnormally quickly, an oil pressure warning light that comes on at idle or knocking at cold start can indicate a clogged filter or insufficient lubrication. A leak at the cartridge seal, a dented or rusty housing also requires immediate replacement. If the pressure warning light comes on while driving, stop the engine and check the level before starting again.
✅ Mounting advice
Drain the engine while hot, then unscrew the old cartridge by providing a container for the remaining oil. Check that the old seal has not stuck to the support, then wipe the seating area. Lightly oil the seal of the new filter and screw it on by hand until contact, then tighten according to the instructions on the cartridge, without forcing with a wrench. After filling with oil that complies with the manufacturer's recommendations, run the engine for a few moments, check for leaks at the seal and check the level on the dipstick.
