🔧 What is this part for?
The front brake hose conveys brake fluid under high pressure from rigid pipes fixed to the chassis to the wheel caliper. Unlike metal tubes, it must constantly follow the suspension travel and wheel steering, hence its construction in rubber reinforced by textile braid. With each brake pedal press, it transmits the master cylinder pressure to the caliper piston without expanding. A worn hose swells under pressure or leaks, and the braking efficiency of the front axle is immediately reduced.
This new hose is compatible with the Iveco reference 504229365. It fits on the front axle of Iveco Daily 35C with torsion bar front suspension, on the left as well as the right side, replacing the original part. Its threaded M10x1 fittings screw onto the rigid pipe and caliper without modification.

A hose whose internal wall deteriorates can also act as a check valve and maintain pressure in the caliper, causing a wheel to overheat and abnormal pad wear on one side only.

Temporarily cap the rigid pipe when removing it to limit fluid loss and air entry. Install the hose without twisting it: it must remain free over the full suspension travel and full steering lock, without touching the wheel or chassis. Use a pipe wrench on the fittings to avoid damaging the nuts, replace the copper seals at the caliper if necessary, then bleed the circuit with fluid complying with Iveco specifications. Since braking is a safety system, installation by a professional is recommended.
